Avengers: Age of Ultron took a lot of liberties with the origin of its title character, but it maintained his status as the creator of Vision. That’s why it’s fitting that Marvel’s upcoming Vision series on Disney+ will feature the first official return of Ultron in almost a decade. And James Spader will once again provide Ultron’s voice.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story about Spader’s return as Ultron. In the MCU’s continuity, Ultron was created by Tony Stark, and he rebelled against his creator by trying to eradicate humanity. Vision proved to instrumental in the battle against Ultron, and he seemingly destroyed the final copy of his android father. However, since the destruction of that Ultron occurred off-screen, there may be some wiggle room for Ultron’s resurrection.

Although Ultron has been absent from the primary MCU since his initial appearance, alternate universe versions of the character appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Ross Marquand provided the voice of Ultron in that film, and during the character’s appearances in Marvel’s What If…? animated series.

The Texas Destination Resort Alliance (TDRA) has filed a petition to legalize gambling in the Lone Star State to try to put an end to the uncertainty of the long-time pending legislative issue. The gambling bill proposal would reportedly require to pass both the Texas House and Texas Senate to be brought to a referendum. XDefiant is off to the races, having reportedly already reached over 3 million unique players, with the first million coming two and a half hours after launch.

The above statistics are according to Insider Gaming, which reports some of the launch numbers surrounding Ubisoft’s free-to-play answer to Call of Duty. According to Insider Gaming, the game is “well on its way” when it comes to surpassing Ubisoft’s internal goals in terms of number of players. Those launch numbers make XDefiant the fastest Ubisoft game to ever reach 1 million players, and are even bigger than free-to-play competitor Apex Legends. Respawn’s battle royale saw around 1 million unique players in its first eight hours after launch back in 2019.
